chiropractic Bel Air MD coronavirus statement

March 30, 2020

We hope that this message finds you well especially during this time.

In line with federal, state and local guidelines concerning community spread of COVID-19, Maryland Spine Institute remains open, on a modified schedule. Our focus is treatment of critical care patients and patients whose condition would deteriorate without ongoing treatment. Chiropractic doctors are essential healthcare providers, particularly during this time, and help to mitigate entry into emergency rooms for musculoskeletal conditions.

The health and safety of our staff and patients is our top priority! We are compliant with all CDC guidelines for essential healthcare centers and have implemented the following measures:

  • Pre-screening all appointments
  • Sanitizing facilities throughout the day
  • Sanitizing all therapy beds and equipment between patients
  • Requiring hand washing/hand sanitizing upon entry
  • Decreased number of patients within the practice at once
  • Asking patients to come to appointments alone

Also, please note the following:

  • We are accepting New Patient Appointments
  • Spinal Disc Decompression and Cold Laser Therapy are still available!
  • All product sales still available (TENS, Braces, BioFreeze Pro, etc.)

Offices remain OPEN according to the modified schedule listed below:

It is our commitment to ensure that you know we are here for you and your family during this time. Eat healthy foods, maintain daily physical activity, stay hydrated, practice good hygiene, and find ways to stay positive and find joy during this time!

If you are in pain, schedule an appointment. The emergency room is not the place to help you get better--that's why we are staying open. If you have a condition that you know will get worse if you neglect your care plan, call the office and schedule an appointment. If you can delay treatment without having increased pain or symptoms, that is the best choice right now. Call or email ( with any questions--we are here for you!

Committed to your health,

Dr. Herold and the MSI Team
